Congratulations to University of Georgia Press author Barbara Hurd, who was recently named a 2015 Guggenheim Fellow.

Hurd’s books from the UGA Press are Walking the Wrack Line: On Tidal Shifts and What Remains, Stirring the Mud: On Swamps, Bogs, and Human Imagination, Entering the Stone: On Caves and Feeling through the Dark, and Listening to the Savage: River Notes and Half-Heard Melodies (forthcoming in 2016).

The list of Fellows also includes Press friends Melissa Fay Greene and Alison Hawthorne Deming; our best wishes to them as well. Treat yourself and take a minute to read the entire list of Fellows. It’s an amazing summary both of accomplishment and potential in the arts and sciences.
